在美國總統拜登（Joe Biden）的就職典禮上，Amanda Gorman 可說是當中最矚目，最多人談論的亮點。這位 22 歲的哈佛畢業生是一位詩人，她成為了美國有史以來，最年輕的就職典禮詩歌朗誦者。
Amanda Gorman 穿的是甚麼？
她穿上的 PRADA 紅色頭箍與品牌黃色外套。而她身上的飾物，戒指是來自紐約品牌 Of Rare Origin、耳環來自希獵品牌 Nikos Koulis，均是由她支持者 Oprah Winfrey 所贈。
她與新任總統、第一夫人的淵源
她的出場是總統第一夫人 Jill Biden 引薦，促成了這個具標誌性的時刻。第一夫人推薦 Amanda Gorman 的原因，除了是欣賞她的才華之外，亦是因為生於 1998 年的她，成長歷程與拜登有相似之處。
美國新任總統拜登年輕時被口吃問題困擾，難以清楚表達自己所思所想。而 Amanda 也曾有言語障礙( speech impediment) ，經歷了長期的言語治療訓練，才克服不能捲脷發音的問題。她更曾經在訪問中表示，以前由於自己讀不到某一些字的發音，在作詩時連 girl 這個字也會避而不用。
在努力之後下 Amanda 克服障礙，成就了今日的自己。在她入讀哈佛大學後，她小時候的言語治療師 Elida Kocharian ，於 2018 年在哈佛大學的學生報上分享為 Amanda 進行治療的感想：「Amanda Gorman 並沒有認為自己的言語障礙對她造成阻礙，她更視之為一份禮物、一股力量。」一路走來的經歷相當勵志，震撼人心。

Amanda 的成長歷程
美籍非裔的 Amanda 自小由母親一手帶大，她的家中有三姊妹，她有有一位孿生姊妹 Gabrielle，是一位電影製作人，兩個人活出截然不同的人生。Amanda 曾經在訪問中表示，小時候媽媽絕少讓她看電視，在母親的鼓勵之下，她自小對讀書、寫作培養出濃厚的興趣。
